Firmware update Custom Controls for the Canon 5D mk III? (Wishlist)

Been using the 1Dx and the 5Dsr for a while now, and my 5D III was not getting attention as of late. Luckily it is not an useless camera and recently on a trip and on an assignment I got to use the 1Dx and the 5D III combo again. But I missed a few controls that I got used to on the other bodies.

I really hope Canon adds a (final) firmware update to the 5D mark III to add controls that is present in the 1Dx and the 5Dsr.
The two features I really like and are missing on the 5D III are:
-Switch from ONE SHOT to AI SERVO assigned to the AF-ON button (Both 1Dx and 5Ds have this).
-Flash Control Settings assigned to the SET Button (currently only on the 5Ds).

Do you guys expect an update like this in the near future for the Mark III's out there?

If the 5DIV is for this year (it probably is), I absolutely do not expect an update of that sort. We're talking about Canon, here .

well they need too fix and really address the 7D Mark 2 issues as well add newwer lens profiles and corrections eg:50mm 1.8 stm seem that the last firmware for it 1.05 makes the camera worse?
but umm hope they do a through update of 5d3 firmware aslod adding more lens profiles and cleaner images

Good point. But I believe you can load the lens profiles from the (latest) EOS utility software on your camera.

The 5D MK III is reportedly no longer in production. Canon is not going to update firmware in a old camera model to add new features. If there is a actual problem, they will.
