Flowers and other Flora

Thanks a lot - especially for the hint: it really looks like a Texas sage!
I just compared it with similarly looking Leucophyllum species and despite very similar they are not checking all the points! I'm pretty sure you are right - Texas sage!!! Learned something today(y)!

Thanks MSH411: I think you are right (again!). I know one similar plant from my neighborhood that is very similar but with pure white/red flowers. It fits to the same name as the flower from today. Probably different varieties.
You are pretty good with the garden plants!

Can you find this in your garden (I found it in a Botanical garden:) but didn't see a label)? Medium sized tree with interesting/beautiful flowers and intimidating/crazy thorns allover...
