This one is dedicated to Joni Mitchell. To paraphrase, "I've looked at flowers from both sides now..." ("Both Sides" is a beautiful song. Here's a youtube link with lyrics:

Finally (for this morning), a softer side. Cheers from our flower patch!

EDIT: My wife suggested cropping so the flower was not centered. I also used a touch of vignetting.

Sometimes I'm too hasty in the mornings.

By the way, these flower photos I've been posting were taken with the Olde Sigma 180mm f/2.8 Macro. Mostly on a tripod using manual focus, but a few handheld with IS and AF. It's a heavy lens, but still one of my favorites. Works absolutely fine with the R5, even better than it did on the 5D4, from my experience.

Each Spring I look forward to walks in the woods searching for Burgundy, White, and Painted Trilliums. This year I was fortunate to find a few painted ones. I normally see them once every several years.IMG_0698 small.jpgIMG_1393 small.jpgIMG_1351 small.jpg
