The red flowers of Abutilon menziesii are small (like 2-2.8 cm in diameter) but it's endemic to Hawaii and endangered!

Finally (for this morning), a softer side. Cheers from our flower patch!

EDIT: My wife suggested cropping so the flower was not centered. I also used a touch of vignetting.

Sometimes I'm too hasty in the mornings.

By the way, these flower photos I've been posting were taken with the Olde Sigma 180mm f/2.8 Macro. Mostly on a tripod using manual focus, but a few handheld with IS and AF. It's a heavy lens, but still one of my favorites. Works absolutely fine with the R5, even better than it did on the 5D4, from my experience.

We really don't see flowers from that other side enough, do we?
The second crop is nicer.

Each Spring I look forward to walks in the woods searching for Burgundy, White, and Painted Trilliums. This year I was fortunate to find a few painted ones. I normally see them once every several years.
