Vignetting will always be worse using a full-frame camera because you're now utilising the entire image circle, including the corners which were previously 'cropped' by your 50D.

That being said, you might want to post some examples just to make sure everything's OK.

I use the 70-200 f/2.8II on ff without issue - mostly at f/2.8 too

Please define "bad" or post an example... many of us use the 70-200mk.ii without any issues on a 5d
