The sun through the windowed arch at the end of the platform was glorious.

I guess I should probably have opened the aperture up a bit, but you don't have long to think as the train moves off and you have a connection upstairs...

Both very nice - I am a big fan of motion blur (like the second shot). City trains make for great photographic subjects.

I like these though the first is my preference it feels more Dutch than UK for obvious reasons.
Was wondering though if you had any issues taking pictures in these areas?

No problems at all. In the underground they don't like you to use flash at on-coming trains for obvious reasons. But since this was using available light that is fine. I suspect some people find it strange that I am taking these pictures, but nobody has ever commented!

Even the English are using bikes more - although I think I would marginally prefer shark-bating than cycling through central London

Really like the first shot, the light and reflections are great. You should take some pics at London Bridge before all the major renovations commence - get some good use out of that 5D3 of yours and get some shots for posterity before they make it look like T5 at Heathrow.

Thanks DB! I think they messed up London Bridge station in the 60s/70s. I had the dubious pleasure of working in the predecessor of the shard for a couple of years. It was a hideous station that made Euston look good! However, I will go and have a look now with the benefit of no longer commuting there!
