Have you preordered an RF 200-800mm?

So I have done some tests indoors. First set @ ~6.2m with 100-400, 100-500 & 200-800 with and without 1.4 which is about the distance where the 12inch/30cm test card fills the sensor at around 700-800mm. Also a second set around 11.3m from target a bit more typical of my use. not happy with a couple of these shots but the 100-500+1.4 v 200-800 is a win for the 200-800 which is perhaps expected but good to confirm. Thank you so much for doing these - greatly appreciated. I have looked at these very carefully. For groups 1 and 2, did you adjust the distance so they all filled the same size on the sensor or did you upscale the smaller ones to be the same size?

My favourite charts are those that have circles of closely spaced fine lines or finely spaced close parallel lines at different separations so you can see when they can no longer be resolved. I have made a collage of the smallest circles from group 3 at 11.3m as they are closest to fine spacing, and it is quite informative. You can see that the 400mm is just able to resolve the lines, but the rest are well resolved. They also detect some shake or shutter shock when the 1.4xTC is attached, and this is making the 500mm at 700mm look worse. You can see it also see the horizontal shake at 700mm where the vertical lines are much worse than the horizontal elsewhere. I don't think it is astigmatism of the TC as the apparent shake is in a different direction when on the 800mm.
