Helios 44M-4 and 5D MKii

Just got myself a Helios 44M-4 at a thrift shop, came with a Zenit 11 but I just bought the camera for the lens. I know these lenses are supposed to have beautiful bokeh but I've also heard some will hit the mirror of full frame cameras. I shoot with a 5D MKII and I just ordered a this adapter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001G4QXN2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a similar set up and weather it hit the mirror and if there are any modifications that can easily be done to the lens to avoid this.

Here is an image of the lens itself

Not sure about the 5D series. It doesn't hit on my 6D, at least in my limited testing, though the original 44M does. Of course, the 5D has a slightly larger mirror than the 6D, so that isn't a guarantee.

If you want to be paranoid, just put it in live view mode if you're going to be shooting pictures at or near infinity.

Thanks, I plan on using it mainly in live view so a can get precise focus, my only fear is that my camera often goes out of live view if I don't adjust it for about a minute and I don't want the mirror to come crashing down on the lens and hurting itself.
