Intersting, I imagined the 1/8k shutter slice to be even thinner. And a good sample for a rolling shutter artifact. Btw high speed camera shots are also reason to watch the Mythbusters show.

I love things like this, it always amazes me how much deformation, deflection and bouncing around these things go through. I watched a slomo video of a rifle being fired, something you think of as stiff for accuracy until you see the barrel flex with each shot.
