I think my 1Dx mark 3 is Slow

I just received my new 1Dx mark 3 and updated the firmware but it seem like I’m able to fill up the buffer after 150 continuous Raw shots also it’s saying my C fast express card isn’t fast enough to record 4K video. Does anybody else have this issue? I’m currently using 2 120gig prograde cards

I remember reading the HEIF format has a buffer limit. By chance are you shooting raw +HEIF?

I just pulled mine out to check as outside of updating the firmware and some focus test shots I have not really had a chance to take it out and play yet. With the 11-24 on I fired 382 frames RAW only with no issues/slowdown on the 64GB card. Still waiting on other cards from B&H.
Can you record in 5.5k for longer than 60 seconds?

I actually just read the fine print on Canon's website. Directly under the bottom of the camera is an * detailing what the 64GB card won't do. Looking on the B&H site though, I find it odd that a different size in the same line can have such a huge disparity in write speeds, i.e. just look at the Sandisk ones on there. Not sure if its typo or what but it really makes no sense to me. I've been waiting for the Delkin 256's to actually get released.

Well, a 64G card would only fit a couple of minutes of 1DX3 RAW video anyway... I doubt it makes sense for manufacturers to offer such "small" cards at full speeds.

That's not really anything new. There are lots of examples going back many years where the lower capacity cards from the same Sandisk "series" are slower than the higher capacity ones.
