Is the Canon 7D firmware V2 update still coming?

I haven't seen anything on the Canon site and was wondering if there is any news.

Canon is following the hardware release plan for this firmware. Delay. Delay more. Delay even more. Release.

But it hasn't been officially announced though, right? I thought it was just a leak. So, in that case, there wouldn't be a delay. Unless I am totally wrong and missed Cannon promising us something they don't owe us. I'll take it any time though

After the hardware release comes the tape fix, and perhaps a glue job on the mirror.

Then comes the firmware plan. Advise that issues will be fixed in a future unspecifed firmware update, delay, delay, release partial firmware fix, release a fix for the update, release a fix for the fix for the update, and then, it starts all over with replacement hardware.
