i just called a local store in Brisbane, Camera Pro (note to Aussies: they ship nationally!) , who said that they had only just received an email about the camera like 2 mintues before i called. ;D so they weren't yet ready to quote a price or take a pre-order, but they took down my info and will get back to me. i suspect there will be a pre-order deposit of around $600 and the final price will be the same as at Ted's Camera (ie. $4,200 AUD for body only).
while on the phone the sales person had a brief conversation with someone else re: the email they recieved and i heard something about 3 weeks.... could it be that they will receive their first shipment then?

What's more interesting in that clip is when Mr. Westfall says the MKIII is two stops better in ISO than the MKII. I'm assuming that's for jpegs but it's still impressive nonetheless.
