Just wondered can i fit my 8070-200 canon MK2 lens with the 2x mkIII converter onto my old canon 450d?
Would be nice to have a 640mm reach sometimes.

Sure you can, at least physically. Assuming you mean the EF 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 II, the 2xIII will make that into a 160-400mm f/9-11 lens, meaning no AF so you'll have to manually focus the lens. I suspect the IQ will be nothing to write home about, either.

No, sorry 70-200 F2.8 MK2
I make that 1.6x200x2=640mm if it fits, i didnt say its gonna be super sharp lol

Well, the 70- vs. the 80- makes a little bit of a difference.

The 70-200/2.8L IS II does very well with a 2x TC. Here's an example with the 7D:

Nice ISO. I guess you used some strong noise reduction on that.
Your 7D will be a little bit nicer than my old 450D, but is the 7D still 1.6 crop? giving you effective 640mm zoom
I see thats the x2 mk2, probably not much difference in IQ from the mk3?

2xII vs. 2xIII not very different, optically. I picked up the 2xIII recently, mainly for the better AF performance with supertele lenses.
