I really hope they apply and get accepted, Laowa has a lot of very interesting lenses!

The 55mm weighs as much as the RF100-500mm, 1345g.
For studio use, certainly. For mobile use???
But it could be interesting as an MF* T/S lens.

Does anyone know if these tilt-shift lenses are able to give a look such as a photo stack with insects/flowers/etc? Seems with a 55mm you'd have to be super close to the subject, while the 100mm gives a bit more range.

I like the thought of a photo stack in just one photo, with a great DOF. Looking at the article AlanF provided, makes it seem that's possible.

I have a Venus 15mm macro that I left a really good review for on Amazon some years ago. I loved the look of wide angle images, while having the subject in focus and even some of the background. It's a very unique look that you simply can't get with other lenses. That being said, it's probably the most difficult lens I've ever used. For a macro shot, the lens is basically touching the subject. Lol

So I'm just curious if a t/s lens gives a bit more space between subject and lens and gives a greater depth of field. For an example, is it possible a bee would be completely in focus using the t/s features.

Also, I'm not just asking about these two lenses, just wondering about any lens that has these macro capabilities and would be able to get a tiny subject completely in focus with one shot. From eyes to behind.

I have the mp-e 65mm and find myself not shooting at 1x very often unless it's a larger subject. I usually shoot at 2x+. I know Venus/Lawoa have had some new lenses that shoot 2x but I'm not sure about ones that can "create" a larger DOF.

The closer You get to Your subject the smaller the angle of the focus plane can be.
Try to understand the Scheimflug rule.

Thanks for sharing! I actually love Venus lenses. I have the 15mm macro, which I find to be the hardest lens I shoot with but I LOVE the images. I believe they have even better lenses now and I plan on getting some at some point because they're so unique, fun and creative in the way you can take photos.

I understand dof fairly well, being primarily a macro photographer but I just some of the lenses may "bend" the rules a bit. Haha.
