Laowa Sets the Stage for a Zoom Probe Lens with a Ultra-Wide 15mm Perspective, Broader Focal Range, and Dynamic Angles

I was planning on getting the Pergear clone this spring, the Laowa v2 is only available as a Cine model, with matching pricing :(

This will likely be a €3000+ set, which is a bit much for inspecting the mini pond in my garden. But I applaud Laowa for continuing to push this niche.

I have always wanted to try one out, I'm just not paying for one!

I rented the Laowa v1 probe+periprobe a few years ago, the water where I wanted to use it turned out to be waaaay too murky. So I have experience using it, but zero pictures good enough to keep.

Later, I came across another neat segment to use this lens in: LEGO!

With some clear to reasonably clear bits of water near me and lots of LEGO in the house, a probe lens would actually get used enough to buy one. But not for Cine prices :)

Haha that's great. I do love Lego.

I need the light kit for the GT. Lego GAS is just as bad as camera/lens. I have the Land Rover Defender waiting (Thank you wife). If only Star Trek......

I've seen it used underwater in a Blue Water/David Attenborough episode on clown fish which was spectactular. Probably <10m depth so a custom housing/port to support it was needed. I recognised it in the last ep "how did they do it/behind the scenes". Was very cool cinematography but didn't realise the pricing!
