It's been done before I know, but my version with a 6D, 24-105, and a ND.

If nothing else, LED taillights adds something a little different...

I like the way the taillights are sorta like the light-cycle look. Very cool. I'm actually surprised they were bright enough on top of an ND filter. Did you crank the ISO up?

If anything, I wanted to extend the exposure to around c. 30 seconds.
Fortunately, the cars go down Lombard Street at a crawl - so helping the shot work with the tail-lights.
