M-Raw and S-Raw modes

I was looking again at the 5Ds specs and realized that M-Raw mode is a slight bump in resolution to existing 5D3. If so would M-Raw have a similar quality as the 5D3?

Do these modes do something where the noise is lower? If so would Higher ISO shots have a noise advantage?

My understanding is that the reduced raw formats are not supported by any 3rd party software, though that may have changed recently and passed me by. This would leave you reliant on DPP, but if that is not a problem then others will no doubt be able to answer your image quality question.
