Magic latern on my 60D, anyone have it?

Anyone heard of any problems installing magic latern? It kind of scares me haha, im too poor to buy another body. Curious what it adds to the 60D in terms of functionality, thanks guys and gals!

Works perfectly well in my 60D, I use the video features only though. Just drop the files on all your SD cards, install it like a regular canon firmware and voila. Remember not to delete the ML files from your SD card after you install it, as far as I know the files also need to be on the SD card for ML to work.

You can also still reformat your card in-camera without deleting the ML files, I believe it even says how on the camera menu.

Seems safe and stable in my 60D but keep in mind (if you use it for video) that you'll probably need faster SD cards if you intend to play with higher bit-rates and other heavy stuff. My cards seem to buffer and stop recording more often than before.

Works fine on the 60D and the only video my 60D ever did was testing it worked when I got the camera.

Magic Lantern's focus peaking alone is worth it to me. I also donated to support its continued development and I encourage anyone who uses it to do likewise. Think of what you would pay to Canon for these sorts of features.

One way to use/not use it is have some memory cards with Magic Lantern on them and some without. Whichever card is in the camera when it start up is what you will have for firmware.

I m using ML on my 60D since day one n now its been almost one year
I mainly use it for 5 to 9 shots HDR merge
timelapse using its intervalometer
and offcourse for video also
so dnt worry its perfectly safe to use it

It's very stable, I've been using it for a year. The one thing to remember: In the very, very unlikely event anything should go wrong (Camera stops responding) _remove_the_battery_ instead of just turning it off. Otherwise you might fry your cpu, because the "off" switch doesn't cut the power.
