I plan to upgrade my lens set - which consist of 17-85 and 28/1.8 - with something else. Most immediate need is landscape/travel and "close quarters" interiors. Crop sensor.

I'm bit torn between:
- upgrade to C 15-85 and selling 17-85
- or adding C 10-22 (and probably fooling myself I'll get 24-105 L someday later).

Anyone had something similar? Any advices?

When my 17-85 broke (long story), I got a 15-85 and was very pleased - it was definitely an upgrade. But, the 10-22 is also an excellent EF-s lens. If you are happy with what you have, get the 10-22 since you would use it for interiors.

Since you need "landscape/travel and close quarters interiors" I'd go with 15-85mm lens, it's a fantastic lens for crop sensor cameras. But if you are definitely going to get the 24-105 f/4 L IS in the near future then get the 10-22mm lens otherwise just get the 15-85, you will like its range and IQ.

The 17-85 is a relatively poor lens whereas the 15-85 is really very good. I found the upgrade very worthwhile in all aspects, from the better wide wide angle to the significantly better IQ. This was not a minor upgrade but a real improvement. I have the older and better Sigma 10-20mm, but rarely use it because the 15mm covers the most used (for me) end of its range.

10-22 has ran away anyway ;)
Got 15-85. At center I can't really see the IQ difference between 15-85 and 17-85.
I guess being realtively new and not thrown around, my 17-85 might be quite good anyway.
But 15-85 does perform visibly better near edges. I'll do some testing later.
