New Pro Canon body tested by Steve McCurry???

A part from an extremely enviable fotoshoot in an exotic location surrounded by beautiful girls it seems good old Steve could also be testing out a new pro-body prototype from Canon. I know it seems weird given his decade long affiliation with Nikon, but check out this video at exactly 18:37. Appearing is a 1DX type body with a very unusual grip (a 1DX without the outer rubber part perhaps) and – revealingly - missing the Canon logo :o

What do you think guys?

I think I could make a 1-series body look just lke that for $11.09.

Revealing, indeed. ;)

But...thanks for trying!

Body aside, is that the 24-70 f/2.8 L mk1?
If he's going to be testing a new body (we don't know if it's old or new, 1DX or 1Ds, because it's covered in armour), why be using an old lens?

Great video! Does anyone know what those small hand-held light panels are?
LED lights, most often used for video, but can be very handy for that tiny bit of fill. As we have awesome iso performance now, this type of lighting is rapidly coming into its own for certain projects.
