Yes, that shutterboss looks very handy. maybe sometime i'll purchase such a device and give myself a break, but for now i just can't bring myself to do it. yes, i understand that i could run up against movement issues with longer times, but as far as exposure is concerned, a few seconds here or there on a 60 second shot doesn't mean much. really a few seconds here or there at 30 seconds isn't a problem either. i doubt there is a "hard limit" to how far you can go before star trails are a real problem, but nevertheless i get your point. yes, 16-35 or 24 ?...hmmm. gain 2 stops with the 24mm and lose 16-23 and 25-35 and the sweet 7 straight aperture blades? not yet anyway.
