Dear Canon,
It would be really nice if your company (charging us more than an Apple computer, iPad or iPhone) would implement some much needed technology such as tracking our device (due to being lost or stolen). We shouldn't need Apple Air Tag though. When you charge as much for these camera bodies and lenses this stuff should just be a part of your forward thinking technology. I do feel Canon rests on it's prestige quite often and unless pushed isn't pushing.

Not much good if you have a lens attached when it’s stolen.

Airtag most of the volume is battery and chassis though, the electronics and antennas are tiny. It would be fairly easy to fit those on modern bodies if Canon decided to work with Apple to integrate them.

Apple even has a program where manufacturers can do so, e.g. Van Moof bikes have that feature. Judging from previous "Made For Iphone" things, it will require a per-device royalty as well.

Right, for sure they'd have to pay royalties to Apple. Say $5 royalties per device, add $5 BOM cost (3 radios + antennas) and increase camera price by $50-$100. I'd be ok with that.
