I continue to be impressed with both the resolution and clarity obtained using Canon's RF 24-105 F4L attached to an R6 body. This portrait made recently during a gathering of Audubon members celebrating ongoing efforts to save the Wood Storks at Silver Bluff's Kathwood Stork ponds, where the wood storks continue to thrive and multiply. 105mm 1/200 @ F6.3 ISO 500 . The R6's eye controlled focus works great and the F4L 24-105 is a very capable lens, much sharper than the EF version, IMO.

I got the non-L version of the EF kit lens with my 6D2. I didn’t have particularly high hopes for it. It has turned out to be my most used lens these days.
Glad you are enjoying your 6D2 24-105 lens combo, Steve. I happen to own a 6d2, as well, which I primarily keep my500mm F4L attached to, after having purchased the R6 a few mos. ago. Takes great photos and video, for sure.....

I have a very well used 11 year old 24-105L and I retired it when I got my R5 and bought the RF version.
The new one is demonstrably better. For most photographers, it's usually the most used lens.
I have to agree. Just a great all purpose lens that covers a wide gamut of my shooting requirements.

Want to buy the RF L for my RP, but always "sold-out" or "temporarily unavailable" in my store... and that is good for my wallet.
Perhaps one day, within one or two years or so, when I'll migrate to the R6. I have time. Waiting for some discounts...
(Lovely picture, by the way.)
I bought my RF lens refurbished from the Canon store. $879.00 Have been amazed at how good the glass is for that price. Picked up the R6 on a promo from B&H for $2200.00 using PayBoo, so got the tax credited back.
