I'm may be interested in one if a few reputable reviews are favorable, but I'm not interested enough to buy one and hope for the best. The AF has to be better than what they've offered up to now for me to buy it.

I'd wait for reviews on 3rd party lenses. I'm hoping that this is an awesome lens though because a 24-70mm F/2.8 with stabilization has been my dream for a while. I could get rid of a couple lenses if this Tamron brings decent quality.

Not a very significant test, but it does conclude with it being slower than the Canon and Nikon, and fast than the Sigma. I want it to be accurate, though.
