Purchase Canadian 5d3 body through Canon Price Watch? Anyone here has?

Has anyone here ever used these guys for a purchase? USA warranty, as is confirmed by CPW that is valid?

I have a important month long trip, and need ta new body that i can confide in its Af for irreplaceable pictures.

It will be on credit card, so it will be protected from fraud, but no hassle is better than less hassle.

I got my 70-200 2.8 through CPW. It shipped from a store in Canada and came with a north America warranty card. Would definitely purchase through CPW again.

My most recent purchase 85L II came from Canada - Canon authorized dealer. It came with original invoice and warranty card for Canada and US, just like the one you buy from BH & Adorama. Paid with paypal. Arrived quickly. My 85L II has UC date code on it, couldn't be happier

Before that, I also bought 200mm f2 IS and 16-35 f4 IS through CPW-street price. Both transactions were completed through US Canon authorized dealers - very well known dealer in US, trust me on this

You can also just go straight to a Canadian store and save due to the currency exchange.

Credit card protection may not apply to international purchases online if the merchandise is not as good as expected. Outright fraud is covered. So, if you think that you might want to exchange or return a camera / lens, be sure in advance that the seller allows it. The US laws only provide very limited protection, but the credit card companies usually have wider coverage.

I've read good reviews about CPW but i wonder if anyone can share a good authorized canadian store for me to buy directly?

I contacted the store noted on CPW with the 5DSr pricing via email about their pricing and availability on a 1Dx. They phoned me back stating that the 1Dx came with a Canadian warranty that was not being honored by Canon USA. That somewhat surprised me as I've bought from Canadian authorized distributors before and the warranty was always seamless with USA service centers. If what they were selling on the 1Dx was gray then evilBay has better deals out there.

On three occasions I used the CPW "street" program. First time the lens came from Canada, and the next two times each lens came form one of our well-know NYC stores. All were brand new and all came from authorized dealers with US / North America warranty. I would have no reservations about using CPW again.
