Rattle in lens

Hi all
Managed to drop my 100-400 II over the weekend- not too far but not the best thing to do. After picking it up I noticed a slight rattle which I had not before, but there again I was not listening carefully before either. The lens appears to IS and focus OK. Is the rattle just the IS mechanism not working - anyone else have a rattle in their 100-400 II?
Or do I need to get this checked out?
Thanks

Send it to Canon for a checkup, describing concerns same as in your post.

A rattle developed in my 100L. I traced it to a loose front element. A spanner tightened it up and eliminated the issue. I attribute it to a Sigma TC that I tried on the lens. It went wild vibrating before I shut the camera off. I think it literally shook the front ring that holds the lens loose.
