I just ordered mine, $1407.42. Trading in a old Canon T50 SLR which is otherwise worthless.
They have a few left, its not on the canon website, so they are lasting longer than usual.
Its not a website, its called the Canon Loyalty Program, and is available to Canon users with broken equipment. You must call them (Google the number) and give them the serial number of your damaged camera, and then return it to them, they send you a return lable by e-mail. They had been giving 20% off the refurb price, but I saw a posting that said the 5D MK II was only 10% off as of July 1.
Thats a bummer, if true.
Cameras accepted are old 35mm film SLT bodies, powershots, or DSLR's. You can often find a old body for sale on craigslist, ebay, or garage sale for a few dollars, and, if it has a EF lens with it, keep the lens and turn in the body. The bodies are scrapped, not repaired.
