Scratches on inner barrel of lens

I had a hair that was stuck in between the outer and inner barrel of my new 24-70 f/2.8 II. Trying to remove it with my finger proved insufficient. I got some tweezers and managed to grab the hair and pull it out.

However, using the tweezers I noticed I made some very small (tiny) scratches on the inner lens barrel.

Is this cause for concern now or down the road?

I would not be worried about it. From what you describe, it seems to be only a cosmetic problem that does not affect the operation of the lens. It would be worse if the hair walked inside the lens.

The scratches won't affect dust and weather sealing in the future will they?

It won't be a problem, but neither would the hair be a issue.

Again, my nerves are a bit calmer now. It's stressful to worry about a recently purchased $2000 lens damaged by user stupidity.
