Hi all,

The new hotness from Sigma seems to be getting some pretty decent reviews so far - looks like a solid addition to the Art line-up. Personally I'm invested in FF kit so I won't be getting this, but if I were looking for an APSC zoom it'd be this or the Canon 17-55 2.8 is...

Waiting for the big hitter reviews from the likes of TPD, Photozone etc, but promising no?

Here's another one:

Sounds really good and I'm quite tempted, though I usually prefer Canon glass. The Sigma 35 1.4 has been great for me so far - I shot about 80% of my pictures during a sailing trip with this lens and am quite happy with the results. Only con for me with the 18-35 1.8 is the "APS-C only", as I would like to be able to use as many of my lenses once my 7D get's a FF companion.

A very convincing review for this lens just added by DxO:

A DxO score of 25 puts it ahead of lenses worth 3 times the price! I was tossing up this or the more expensive Canon 17-55 F2.8 (previously scored 14). For my needs, the Sigma lens blows that one out of the water!

Needless to say, mines just been ordered :)
