Is there a way, workaround or a piece if equipment ( cable release etc ) that will allow me to shoot in silent mode with the timer ?

I shoot AEB HDR with the timer on so that the entire sequence will be shot with one shutter press. I love this feature on the MK3, however it would also be great to do this while taking advantage of the silent mode which can work to reduce mirror slap ?

Any thoughts ?
Cheers.

Do I understand correctly - you want the Silent Mode to reduce vibrations caused by the mirror? if that's the case, and the reduced noise is not relevant, just turn on live view, or enable Mirror Lock Up in the menu.

Mirror lock up unfortunately only works for the first shot out of a bracketed sequence. It doesn't finished the rest of the selected amount in the sequence for some reason.

I havent tried live view. I guess I can see if that works thanks. Was hoping for a solution which didn't involve live view. Thanks.

If quiet is your goal and no mirror shake, try HDR with Live View

PS you can use the lock feature on a cable release to force the camera to run through the entire HDR sequence without pushing the button a second time
