Was gonna ask the same question after seeing there was a D4S sighting at Sochi reported in Nikonrumors site.

I did see a skinny body with a great white which prompted the equation, wondering if it was a 7D/II

Would love one for Safari, but size, weight, oh and cost are limiting factors

Apart from that, I've mainly seen black lenses, so it looks like it's mainly Nikon shooters. Perhaps the Canons got impounded under Russia's anti-terror laws due to a bad translation?

I've seen a lot of Canon kit over the last 2 days but not close enough to ID any new stuff.
