When is the SX240 expected to be announced?

Any idea on the changes and specs?

SX210 - Feb 2010
SX220 - Feb 2011
SX230 - Feb 2011

So my guess is Feb 2012

I would expect;
Digic V for sure which should lead to slightly better low light performance.
Probably the same CMOS sensor or a slightly tweaked one.
Maybe a bit faster lens but probably the same (14x) zoom range. Maybe 24mm on widest, instead of the current 28mm.
Better video and a few other minor tweaks in the menu system.

Are those announcement or actual available dates?

Given the competition and what Canon did with the S100, a 24mm seems definite. Hope they decrease the MPs but that may be unlikely.

I picked up the SX230 recently as a Amazon Lighting Deal for $150 as a P&S.. Great little camera for price though had I waited a couple weeks the recent deals on the S95 and the ability to shoot RAW would have been nice..

I'm a bit concerned that the f-stop will be too high... and what point would you say that the f-stop is too high for dimly lit rooms, say darker conference halls?
