a picture i took few weeks ago in lofoten. An iconic spot from hanmoy bridge. a spot taken one billion time. But at this moment, look at this unreal rainbow. after days of rain, it was a unique moment.

Dustin...

I think I like my 15-30 as a fav lens..also
it seems to be the one I grab.

but your work with it is simple wonderful..
including the very tasteful editing...
top stuff IMO

I think a person could travel with
just the 15-30, and a 100L macro.
maybe some fast, normalish 35-50

sometimes I go out with the just 15-30 and the 100-400 II

Oftentimes some of our best images are captured when we least expect it - due to a brief weather break, a shifting cloud, etc. That shot in Iofoten with the rainbow is one of those I think - just fantastically beautiful.

If only my hobby paid for itself...

A good comparison with exception of missing mention of night photography. Here the Tamron has that extra stop of light transmission and has decent coma performance wide open. I’m not sure about the Canon’s coma performance, but it may not be used much for stars simply because of f/4 min aperture.

thanks for feedback guys i apreciate. For my last picture of the rainbow i used a 1dx I shooted handheld in burst mode, 20 pictures, i staked them with super resolution technique. The final image is around 95 millions pixels.
