Speaking about Type C vs Type B cards - don't forget that higher speed means more heat. R5C comes with fan, R5 has limited video RAW recording time.
If Canon does not provide the effective passive cooling solution, there is no sense in higher speed slot. Type B is more than enough for stills considering that we already have a working buffer solution which is much easier and cheaper to implement.
