I was wondering if the mythical 3D high MP camera is suppose to sit in between the 5DMIII and the 1Dx won't the price also sit between them say "$4999", if that is the case will there be less complaining about the price of the 5DMIII?

It would be stupid for Canon (or any manufacturer) to call a 2-dimensional camera "3D". In fact, that would be a marketing disaster. That being said, Canon, for its own sake, has to come with a high mpx FF soon, or it will get killed by Nikon and Sony.

it's called 3D because it is between the 5D and the 1Dx. . . . . the smaller the number, the more pro the camera ;)

it has nothing to do with 3D vision v 2D vision. . . . ::)

No. The complaining about the current price is about the amount of tech you get for it, and mainly cause of the +500 over the competition.
