My first choice though would be the 24-105/4. The EF had two versions, the first being smaller and the second being sharper. I won't repeat my usual screed about f/4 being the new f/2.8 but I think it's a crossover spec that's good for both amateur and pro usage but I'm not sure the current one is quite pro sharpness. I'd welcome a sharper one even if it was 20% bigger and heavier. I'm waiting for the 35/1.2 (or even 1.0) but if I were still shooting professionally a new 24-105/4 would make more difference than anything else.
