I’m going to Galapagos Islands next summer. I’ll bring two bodies (Canon 7D and T2i) but I don’t know the best lenses to chose for this trip.

I have these lenses (all in Canon) : 300mm 2.8 II, 100-400mm, 24-105mm and 100Lmm macro.

I guess I have to bring the 24-105mm and the 300mm. Am I right?

Thank you

I was there for an 8 day cruise in 2011. At that time I used 7D and 100-400 with t1i as backup body. I also used 100L, 24-105L and 10-22.

If I went back with your gear, I'd bring it all. 300 will be great and you should bring TCs for more versatility. However the 100-400 is very useful for convenience if you are happy with the IQ and won't always be wishing the 300 was mounted.

I went to the galapagos we did a land tour almost one year ago exactly. I brought with me my 5dmk3 and 5Dc. With my 100-400 and 24-105. They were perfect for me even in poor lighting I upped the 5Dmk3 iso and went on. Not sure what the weather is like during that time of year. I would personally go as light as possible. We even went to mainland and I also used the 100-400 in low light 1/30.
