Underwater Housing for 5DMKII (Kickstarter/Indiegogo?)

Hello All,

I've read all the topics and threads including all the replies on a decent, budget underwater SLR housing, but had this quick question.

I saw a few months back about a Kickstarter or Indiegogo project to sponsor a new company to build a housing in the $200-300 range with the ports an extra cost depending on the lens. I'm sure since then, they've been very successful at their product as it looks like the $3K housing, but way cheaper.

Just curious, did anybody come across this? Any feedback or comments are welcomed.

Planning on stopping by Balmorhea, TX in January.

But that doesn't look very safe to me, at least not yet.

The cheapest is probably a ikelite. That is what I use for my mark ii. It works fine. Underwater is never cheap.

I've used the Outex case serval times with good results. The company was helpful when they accidentally sent me the wrong piece and overnighted the new one. I used it in Maui last month.

Please be informed that every Housing have its Level of Depth, and varies as per camera Models.

Underwater Housings are never cheap. Good ones cost Approx 3,000 $ .

Do not risk your Camera with a cheap housing, Always take the advice of an expert before you take your Camera inside water. Without proper housing and equipment you will surely damage your Camera.

BUT , underwater photography is a whole new unexplored world.

It's not that expensive and very good for snorkeling.
Their cases can be used for diving as well (but not the case for 5DIII, it has no option for external flash).
