I wasn't going to admit that I owned it, but now that you have, I will admit that I have the EF-M 22 hood as well - what a joke. I was trying to use up a credit I had with Gearshop, but wow is that thing small and pointless. I estimated that the Canon ES-52 hood for the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM would be the right diameter and depth to provide appropriate protection from flare to a 14mm lens. It's shallow enough that no physical protection is offered, either. I think that qualifies it as 'useless'...
