Waiting for the 1Dx...

It sucks...

Even worst is the fact that more and more reviews about the 5DIII are appearing and it seems to be a fine camera. I can't help but felling robed by current MKIII owner... They stole the 1Dx AF system and are allowed to play with it in our faces! :)

Oh well... I guess we just have to wait a bit more... But seriously, this lack of info about the 1Dx makes me wonder...

I feel your pain, I have concerns if maybe I should just go for 5D mark III since it has all the stuff from 1DX, but then I did fail in love with 1DX back in October when I got a chance to play with it for a day.

I am just saying to myself that good things come to those who wait. :)

I am flying to Europe for Euro Soccer Cup 2012 that will start in 64 days, I am just hoping that I will be able to get that camera before I go, if not I will have to think of other alternatives.

I do a bit of everything... And I mostly don't want to care if I can take a shot or not. Rain, snow, dirt, tight spaces or zip line... If I can go, I want the camera to follow :)

Well waiting for the 1dx, i think the new 5d mkiii has vastly improved weather seeling...

It's improved to about the level of the 7D, from what I've read. Still short of 1-series build by a significant margin.

I concur. The build quality of the 5DIII is great, but it's still not a 1-series. My ancient 1DII is built like a tank, and still feels snappier and more responsive that the 5DIII. I can't see anyone that really needs a 1Dx going cheap and buying the 5DIII.

I've always admired the build quality of my 1DII. I could trust this camera with whatever I would throw at it. One major less thing to worry about, you know the camera is gonna work. This is worth a lot of money for me.

I'm completely happy with everything that the 5dmk3 has to offer.

Feature-wise it is perfect for everything that I want to do.

However, I still yearn for the build quality of the 1D. I'm just not sure if that extra build quality is worth the price premium. I'm torn between the two cameras =[

Got it thanks! Since I had not owned a 1 series yet (the 1dx will be the first) I did not realize ... my bad...
