What are the lenses you wish cabin would make?

I think someone was saying somewhere recently(ish) on the forum that the 28 pancake *is* the RF version of the EF 40, because the optics of pancake lenses means they have to be roughly equal to the flange distance, something like that?
Correct. An RF 40/2.8 could be made, of course, but it wouldn't be flat like a pancake.

Yes I have read that a few times over the years here. With that being the case it's just a pipe dream. Any 40mm of consequence with the RF flange/mount could only be as small as the 35 STM most likely.

A fast 28mm is all that’s left on my wishlist, f/2 or wider, it doesn’t even need a red ring.

I’m currently considering repurchasing the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 Art, it’s been almost two years since I got rid of mine, and there’s no alternative in sight. I no longer have any EF lens, but I still have the adapter, so I’m considering making an exception for this one, and keeping it as long as necessary.

I could also enjoy having a 20mm f/2.8 or f/2, but that is not as important to me.

The system has options for everything else I could need.

Sorry, but am I perhaps getting demented, senile or alzheimerised?
Who or what the f**k is "Cabin"? 😵‍💫
Cabin is a new Chinese lens manufacturer that has been granted an exclusive license by Canon to create FF AF RF lenses. They will start releasing the Halo lenses that everybody is clamoring for: the RF60-600mm f1.2 that you suggested, the TS 14mm AF, RF 35mm f1.2, RF 24-70mm f2 etc.

This will free capacity at Canon, so Canon can focus on the really important lenses like the RF 200mm f2.8 L macro lens, the RF 300mm f4 L macro lens and the RF 600mm f4 L lens with built in 1.4 extender.

Now I understand!
There will be so much winning!
