I am trying to buy a canon full frame camera. If i Find a Great deal on the 5DIII i will buy it ( great deal mean 1600 or lower). Should i just buy a 6D for around a thousand and wait for the 5D IV? when do you think it will come out and how much will it be? my guess is it would be $3499. Let me know what you think.

Hi np2576!

Please do some search around this forum and you'll find threads like this:
http://www.canonrumors.com/forum/index.php?topic=24723.msg486234#msg486234

IMHO these answer 95% of your questions without needing a new thread.
And the 5% rest ... okay, if you are aware of what they are, ask specific detailed questions.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yours

It depends on your needs. Do you need an action-capable camera? If so, the 5D3 is preferable to the 6D. If you don't need advanced subject tracking and a wide array of AF sensors, then the 6D is likely the better buy.

You're probably in the ballpark with the Mk4 price, though if they differentiate it enough from the studio models (e.g. if it has better video and substantially better AF, etc.), they may price it at or about the 5Ds level.

Nobody really knows.

If you just want to get into a full frame camera, the 6D is a great option, and will continue to be for some time.

Getting a brand new 5D Mkiii for $1600 even when the Mkiv is eventually launched will be very difficult IMHO. If you find one, please let me know and I would splash out as well. :)

My own opinion on the 5d Mkiv, is that the launch will take place in September, with actual product hitting the shops in late November just in time for the Christmas shopping frenzy. If Canon don't release it in time for the 2015 festive period, it could be well into next year.

However with 2016 been an Olympic year I expect we'll see the 1D?, been leaked / launched sometime in or around August 2016.

Basically what I'm saying is that IMHO the 5D Mkiv, won't be on the shelves within the next 6 months and could be well up to 14 month away before us mere mortals get our grubby paws on it. 8)

Summer would be the best guess, but the 5D Mk III launched in March (on the 25th anniversary of EOS). If the 5D Mk IV has 4K, it is not out of the question that they launch it during NAB in April even though it is a broadcast show, not a photo/digital film show.

Expect those who pre-order to start getting them for $3699 a month or two after its announced. The 5D MK III started delivering in late March, 2012, but those who did not pre-order got theirs later.

My guess is for a August Announcement and a Oct or Nov shipment, but a lot depends on the camera market.

5D4 will be announced in AUG with it hitting the stores earliest OCT just like the 7D2 Aug and had too wait via push-backs or FCC delays till OCT
canon has started this annoying late/end summer announcements then release the cameras by october start/mid fall and nearly the beginning of winter its kinda bad but hopefully if its out by then and the fps are at least 8-10 can use it along with my 7d2 for high school football
