This Camera may not look a big step forward but for a Wedding Photographer the Twin Slots for Memory is a big deal,I had a card crash at a wedding in my 5D MK2 lucky for me it only had 6 shots on it so twin cards a must,I went out and got a Nikon D3S the next Day(Didn't want a cropped 1D MK4)so back to Canon for the main Wedding Camera when this Ships only been using the5D mk2 for some shots with 70-200f2.8II at wedding since card crash.

Very pleased with the spec - looks like the ideal camera for me.
Now I can replace waiting for it to exist with waiting to be able to afford it
Hopefully in time for the Olympics here in the UK.

very pleased with the spec, not so much with the price
considering D800
I'll wait until detailed reviews are out: I have a feeling the 5D3 could lose to the D800 in absolutely all aspects of image quality (resolution, dynamic range, noise), and only win in ergonomics and usability (which are important, but not so much when offset by price and IQ)
