We talk a lot of gear on this site, but we rarely focus on the actual art of photography and techniques.

Some of you may be familiar with Don Komarechka's work, especially his pretty famous snowflake macro photography. If there is anyone to learn macro photography from, Don would be that guy. His work is at the top of the genre.

This is a Kickstarter campaign that is already funded, so you're guaranteed to get the book once it begins shipping in December.

What's the book about?

This book aims to cover every challenge that a macro photographer might encounter, from beginner problems like focus and motion blur, to more complex issues with magnification and diffraction, lighting and composition, and so much more. Learn more here

  1. We had him speak at our local photography club (we're not far from where he's from), and he was phenomenal. I thought he was a tremendous presenter, and supremely knowledgeable on the subject. Really great stuff. I'm confident the book will be a great asset.

Yeah, I think that's why it's called 'Canon Rumors'. Not 'How to photograph'.
  3. I know Don personally, great guy, extremely dedicated to the science of photography, this book can only be good based on how this man works. Extremely detailed individual and helps anyone with anything. Glad to see this in Canon Rumors.
  4. I backed it too. I"ve only dabbled in macro, I have the 100L lens, with some tubes too, and I"d like to play in this area a bit more, and thinking this book and videos will give me that push to do more of it.
