Announcements
The press event turned out to be a workshop for the T2i according to DigitalREV

We did officially get the new ImagePROGRAF printers.

1Ds4 & More
Chalk this up to a learning experience. If there’s no news, there’s a big reason for that. I had no CR3 sources saying anything. I do apologize.

Site Issues
So, the new hosting service isn’t working out either. I have hired someone to explore my needs to get it right next time. I just can’t know everything.

  1. Its not the first time they screw up the non-english menus, too.
They should try the Babel fish!

  2. Or you can just buy the t2i which is pretty much good as the 7d and having it include the various video capabilities and having the external mike input for cheaper price than the 7d…

  3. Are you always this much of a jerk, or are you just having a bad day?

How does wanting a 24-70/2.8L IS make me a “noob?” And why, under any circumstances, would I want a Tamron instead of a Canon 24-70? I own the current version, happen to have a very good copy, but my work in low-light situations really calls out for an IS version. Tons of people are asking for the same thing. I’m not alone.

You, however, need an attitude adjustment.

  4. Recently my 500D’s mirror started to creak terribly at the moment Live View or Video mode were switched on. After a while, an Error 20 started to show, and these modes refused to work.

After this firmware update the mirror in Live View / Video goes up much faster with less sound, and I think Err.20 will disappear as well.

Thank you Canon for fixing the bug!
