Canada
I’ve been told to expect the bodies to be available the first week of January in Ontario. That’s from 1 store, looking for confirmation from others.
EU
We should start seeing them appearing in various parts of Europe around the 15th of December.
Asia
I’ve received no information about the Asian market… as usual, they’ll probably get a few first.

That sounds about right. It usually takes them a couple of days to start shipping them.
how much is 1D Mark IV then?
I was told by the Aussie distributor I am buying from to expect it next week or the following at the latest. Canon have informed them that it is coming a week later than they were first told (which was last week in Nov).

my d3s and 70-200 came today but after testing 3ds and 1d4, i turn down nikon.

Why? The D3s high ISO seems impressive.

According to official source (Canon France), in France EOS 1D Mark IV will be on stores for Christmas.
Yeah, like the guy from Australia, I was told we’d get them here in New Zealand the first week of December (which, technically, is also the last week of November), so I guess we’re included in the Asia/Pacific region as far as release goes.

As it is, the 7D and 1D3 (after the fixes) seem to deliver MUCH better performance than the D300/D3.
Now, let’s see how the 1D4 does.

Use the crop tool as part of an action, select the images in Bridge and do all 1000+ photos at once.
Galbraith will never talk good about Canon unless the whole world proves him wrong. I mean think about it… That’s pretty much his only claim to fame. How many people would be talking about him in the forums and such if it wasn’t for the AF deal?

Galbraith has been very quiet lately about the 7D. He did a preview where he, obviously, didn’t know how to use the new AF correctly. Now that the 7D’s AF is universally praised and the camera has been widely available for about 2 months, where is he?

I ve booked flights to NYC to buy the 1D Mark IV and there is still no sign of it in the shops…does anybody out there have any ‘inside’ info on delivery- I ve called B&H in NY but they have no date… all updates welcome
