A source from earlier this week has piped up with a new spec list for the T1/2000D.

Specs:

7 AF Points
ISO 100-6400
3fps (Not sure if that includes RAW, current 1000D is 1.5fps)
720P @ 30fps
2.5″ Articulating Screen

  1. to be completely honest I found the 7 point system to be at least an equal to that PoS 9 point system they put in almost everything else

  2. I might actually upgrade my 40D if the 60D has a articulating Screen and it is 3 inches.

    Otherwise, there is not much to cause me to want a upgrade. I’m really hoping to move up to a 1D Mark IV

  3. If I have an itch for DSLR movie mode, I’d just get this over the 500D, since I already have other Canon DSLR.

    I only use one AF point, but its gotta be fast and accurate.

    Specs seem plausible. Everything will have video mode from now on.

    Hold-on to your classic still DSLR, it might fetch a handsome sum for future collectors.

  4. Why would the cheaper version of the entry model have an articulating screen when the T1i did not?
