  1. Bought one some months ago used in pristine shape. I use it on both my R with adapter and 1D MK IV.
lovely lens and sharp as a tack. I didn't want the RF 35 micro since its not in the same league as the Sigma 35mm Art.
  2. or they finally noticed noone buys them when there is RF35
The RF35 seems like a nice little lens in many ways, but in my view it is not in the same class as the 35 Art. I understand why people could be attracted to the small size/weight of the RF35 coupled with decent optics, but from everything I've seen the 35 Art is better optically. For example, the RF35 can produce some very rough bokeh (not always, but sometimes) in a way which I have not seen from the 35 Art, and of course the 35 Art offers an extra 2/3 of a stop of aperture. In fact, I would need to do some more research before I chose between the RF35 and the EF 35/2 IS.

  3. Does sigma gives 0,5x macro and adjust ring too? and program support for to future cameras?
I guess you can get bad bokeh with everything if trying.
Anyway convo was about sigma deal, yeah sigma must sell cheaper cause RF35 is so good competitor

Well I would posit that the Tamron 35mm f/1.8 VC wilst not quite in the same league as the Sigma, for the dollar, is a better value. Especially when you add in the weather sealing, VC, and the close focusing ability. However, it will not be the go-to astro lens - not that 35mm is a compelling Astro focal length.

It will be very interesting to see some test and real-world results from the new Tamron 35mm f/1.4...
  5. The RF 35 is just exactly too big to allow me to carry the R all the time. 10mm shorter and I could. I'd happily lose macro and IS and even 1/3 stop if necessary for that smaller size.
Perhaps try the 24mm & 40mm f/2.8 Canon "pancake" lenses?

I have a Sigma Art lens, quite capable of producing very sharp photos, much of the time. My problem with my Art lens is that AF is not always reliable or consistent. I hope that, one day, sigma gets it completely right, because their glass is excellent with overall, good value. You just need to be aware of their limitations.
