Just FYI, the EOS 77D was the successor to the EOS 760D (T6s). Essentially, they tried to move it from being the cream of the "Rebel" class of DSLR cameras, to the entry point for the "Elan" class. I had the T6s, and moved to the R10.

The R7 is a great video camera producing fantastic images even in low light. When doing video recording or using it for livestreaming I like to use an HDMI external monitor. This makes verifying focus and framing much easier especially on ing shoots. There are two modes for the R7 HDMI output. One will allow the touch screen to be on and usable but you cannot record to the sd card. The other mode allows recording to the SD card but the cameras touch screen is disabled/black and cannot be used for any info or touch focus during the recording. I'm not sure why canon has decided to program the R7 this way but it really needs to be remedied as it makes doing video work with an external monitor almost impossible.. I'd like to see this remedied via software for the existing R7 users and for any R7 mark ll being released.

For some maybe, but it would weigh more than a kg greater than the Z 600mm f/6.3, which weighs in at about the same as the RF 100-500mm.

I don't know if it fits your budget, but Cobra Tether cables are excellent and should work with Camera Connect.

I couldn't find the numbers in the patent in a quick search. So I cannot offer the correct ones.

It's about 60mm according to the half-angle of view.

I hope Canon doesn't release a 50-150mm F2.8 L while Sony just released a F2 version of it. I believe the next zoom will be the rumored 200-500mm (or was ist 600mm?). After that Canon should imo release:
- 70-180mm F2.8 STM (or similiar)
- 70-150mm F2 which weighs less than Sonys offering. If not, make it 50-150mm
- 24-300mm L superzoom (or similar)

In one thread there was a rumor about a wild UWA zoom. Maybe a 14-28mm F2? I don´t know, I don't believe it is imminent.

After that, we´d need mkii of:
- 28-70mm F2 (give a big fat diet)
- 24-70mm F2.8 (put it on a diet, improve it like Nikon did, fb compensation, make it faster... maybe it the version rumored lately to feature VCM motors)
- maybe 15-35mm F2.8 mkii (see above)

Can anyone recommend a USB-C to USB-C data only cable for the R5II that works with Camera Connect for tethering?

I’ve seen the Tether Tools 10G cable but this is quite expensive in the UK and I’m not sure it works with Camera Connect.

The assertion was that cfe cards are much more expensive than sd cards which I am disputing.
You can get cheap sd cards and cheap cfe cards. Any decent cfe cards are still cheaper than the same size equivalent sd cards but still much faster

Yes, they do and in the Del Paso's photo the bird has a darker color on the neck that may go as a "warm" (warmer colors underexposed are looking dark, no?) but you MUST look at the entire picture and think what is what. It’s a wrong assumption to think that everyone is buying the fastest memory cards a camera can take. Not everyone is doing video, not everyone is shooting in bursts. The R6 has buffer for over a hundred photographs, and I’d be working the same way if it had half of that, as I’m not burst shooting.

I’d get pissed if they converted the R6 series to using two different memory cards, one being at 10 times the price.

I own several pairs of memory cards, that would increase the price of the camera to me by 10 to 20% right away, in order to keep working the same way. That’s just crazy for this price point.
