The point isn't that it will break in 10 years. Just want to be in an ecosystem (now it's closed) that doesn't contain just "what is the most value we can get while playing it safe". Canon has enough money to be able to afford taking more risks than it does.with any luck i will still be using my current gear 10 years down the line. knocking on wood, all of the canon DSLR gear I have purchased is still operational (even the EF50/1.4 not so L)
Canon has been sleeping enough on the Tilt Shift RF lenses, it's time they do something about it alreadyI'm enjoying my current cameras and I've got EF focal length range from 11 to 600mm, plus 1.4 and 2x TCs. I've only been daydreaming of one or two TS-E lenses.
Unless something breaks, I'm sure this equipment can produce better quality images than I can. If one enjoys using their gear and the results from it, then satisfaction has been attained.
+1I especially like the last one. Great pose and composition with the flower.
I've also been getting the same problem for a while nowSomething different. CR doesn't allow me to post in the thread to
Canon EOS R7 Mark II is Reportedly in the Wild
I think that is a technical problem. But if these rumors are coming true that the R7 II's body layout returns to Canon's standard layout, I'ii be really fast with an upgrade.![]()
Thanks for clearing that up.A Herring Gull with a blue wing band is a research-tagged bird. These colored bands, often with a unique code like a 3-letter combination, are used by ornithologists in research projects to study the movement, survival, and populations of gulls. Seeing such a bird provides valuable data for these studies, so reporting the sighting and any visible codes can be very helpful to the researchers.
For many people, the price difference between the zoom and the 800 is just huge. The pricing is close if you end up buying both the 600/11 and 800/11 for some framing flexibility. The 600/11 is $879 and the 800/11 is $1099 right now, which totals to $1978, and the 200-800 is $2099.
Of course, if someone just wants a 800mm f/11 and nothing else, then sure, but I am not sure how big that market is compared to someone who wants the flexibility of a zoom that goes to 800mm and 1/3-stop faster to boot.

Good to know. I like that lens, even if it is a bit of a tank (maybe the reason for its immunity). This doesn't happen for all lenses, the adapted EF 100-400mm II, for example, has been reported to be immune.
How does Leica's triple resolution technology differ from Canon MILC's ability to output JPGs in three or four different resolutions (L, M, S1 and S2 for the R5)? Can the Leica output raw images in multiple resolutions?
