Olympus EM10 MFT body is pretty small and wickedly capable.
Panasonic makes even smaller MFT bodies but you'll pay more.
If you don't need an EVF then Oly's Pen series can meet the ask, plus you can adapt and stabilize most makes of lenses.
Edit: and Fuji's XA1 or XA2 are also small and wickedly good with APSC sized sensors.
if you really want some small package and small sensor, find a Pentax Q7 on blowout sale or its newer replacement.

I guess you are looking for the Sigma 180 2.8 macro, add a 2x converter and you get a 360mm 5.6 2:1 macro as you were dreaming of. it's big, heavy and expensive, but most dreams are

This could be the start of a major transformation for still photography. As video moves to 6K and higher, taking a single frame from the video can be a powerful tool for still photographers. 30 FPS video provides many still images.

You are aware that the 5D does not have a "self cleaning" sensor, right?

The 6D is likely to be an improvement over your crop camera in most everyday lighting conditions, with a cropped 6D frame being equal or better to the native view of your crop camera. The AF array of the 6D is comparable to what you get in the 5D/5DII with the exception of the center point in the 6D, which is the best of any current canon camera.

Unless you have a 7DII, I'd suggest selling the crop camera and the EF-S lenses if you own them and go for a 6D over the 5D.

Yes, I am aware that the 5D sensor is not self-cleaning.

THANK YOU for your suggestion that the 6D is worth the extra $ over the 5D. Since I have saved enough for a 5D, I will continue to save until early fall- by then maybe I can afford a 6D, and if there is a 6Dll on the horizon, I expect that the prices of even a new 6D will drop a bit.

Right now I can buy a new 6D on the CPW website for what most sellers are asking for a used 6D on Craig's list in northern California. So- prices must have already come down a bit--

I will hold on to the 70D for now, as I like it a lot. It may pair well with a 6D after I save up the $. No big hurry as I don't really need a 6D immediately. I was in a hurry with the 5D due to the end of service issue, but that issue goes away with the 6D

In their Entry information they state under Entry conditions:

Each Applicant (individual or group) may enter only one work. The same person may not enter simultaneously as an individual and a group.

However later on under How to submit your work -> Still image data:

The image size should be 1200 x 1600 pixels or larger (recommended). Up to 100 photos or 500 MB can be uploaded.

Now this is a controversy. It could be either tech aspects of possible uploads or under work is meant a patch of 100 photos.

I sold my 100-400 MK I to get the 70-200 2.8 IS MK II with 2x TC II, so I would never sell it, still the 100-400 II is better than the first version and so its a different story, I am not a pro as well, so yeah budget matters, and only you can decide which to keep based on your current gear and needs.

However here are somethings to consider:

What do you shoot most?

Do you shoot Weddings?Portraits?Indoor Sports? if no then sell it, if yes; do you like bokeh more or sharpness? do you want better low light performance or the zoom versatility? as you may already know, the 70-200 2.8 IS II is the sharpest lens in the focal range at this price, however you can get up to two lenses to replace from the following list (135L, 85L, 50L, 35L, 50 Art, 35 Art) you can get these for low light and extreme bokeh.

Do you care about sharpness?

Some said that the 100-400 MK I is better than the 70-200 II with extender, I guess it depends on sample variation, but that wasn't the case with me, below is a 100% crop of a shot taken with the 70-200 2.8 IS II with the 2x TC II @ 400mm 1/1000 f/5.6 ISO 400 with the 5D3, the image is straight out of LR with no sharpness added except for the default value LR does, of course it may not be as sharp as the 100-400 II - which is why I plan on getting one - but I guess its good enough, most of the time though I don't get images as good as this one, which is only caused by my lack of skill.

How strong are you?

Yes really, how strong are you? do you like carrying that bag with both the 100-400 II and the 70-200 II?

Which lenses do you have?

Do you have mid range zooms? ultra wides? nifty 50? this overlaps with the first point but even if you don't shoot landscapes its a must to have a mid range zoom or ultra wide zoom, you can get 16-35 f/4 IS and the 24-70 f.4 IS for the 70-200 II and little extra which covers you for the full range, you may have these and want to invest for the new 11-24.

In the end it depends on what you want and need, only you can decide.

Edit: for comparison sake I add an image taken with the 100-400 I on the 600D, I know its not a fair comparison but that is what I had at the time, the shot was taken @ 400mm 1/640 f/6.3 ISO 100

A little more detail... it's the AF assist beam on the 430 that is firing when I press the half-shutter. But a full shutter click is not firing the flash.

All of the test buttons are firing the flash.

I don't know if/when the 6D price will get lower, but I don't think the 6D II will come before the 1DX II and the 5D4, so it may take some time, as for the lenses, the Rokinon 14mm is great, but as mentioned in other threads, there is also the Sigma 35 1.4 Art and the Rokinon 24 1.4, it depends on your preferred focal length and your budget.

Panning in grandstand K is VERY difficult as the cars are on the race line which is right underneath the debris fence in front of the grandstand. You can catch the cars entering Tabac corner, or exiting past the swimming pool.
I had a Sigma 150-500mm in my backpack with other items and no one said a word to me.
My seats were K6, Place 14, Rang P, so check my photos on the first page for some indication, or sign me up on Facebook (Stewart Kirkcaldy) to check out my Monaco album.
I’m not really jealous at all.......……NO!.................not in the slightest………………OK……………………….maybe just a little bit ;D

I'm considering the same thing since they're running a promotional discount right now. I plan to convert my eos M. It would allow me to use different lenses which will be very cool.

Lifepixel and Kolari Vision both have very good reputation. I don't mind going either way. Right now I am torn between enhanced color and the super color filter. But most likely I'll do enhanced. The super color seems too over the top to my taste.

I think if you are attracted by false color, you'll need enhanced color filter at least. If you like black and white you may as well go for the deep b+w.

If you start with an enhanced filter you could potentially add a higher cutoff filter in front of the lens. This is what I'll be doing since I already own a standard external IR filter.

I can't wait... as an audiophile and to some extent a videophile... if I'm going to spend my dollars to own or rent something, I want the absolute best source material and that comes from physical media (although you can download some lossless audio legally).

There will always be a market for it, as the vinyl market proves that you can make money in the niche game.

Not all understand this. Unfortunately.

I have 6 STM lenses and they ALL have the option to upgrade the firmware. I believe only the 40mm STM had a firmware upgrade so far.
